exactly this were my conclusions but therefore how can be possible that all these people was shooting with Tele (F4, maybe F2.8)?
Is the DSLR better so that aperture like F4 or F2.8 they can use...

i would not bother so much of rain unless you want to shoot under a storm.I dont see the problem to use the 14mm if the weather is not fine....i suppose you will use a bag to store the camera,...
