Martin Datzinger: How is the shutter noise in normal mode compared to Canon's FF offerings? The D800 is a lot louder than 5D3, which was really disappointing to hear (sic!), after Nikon introduced the first reasonably quiet camera with the D7000.
it makes quite a noise, no improvements in that area ;)
so got the d600, wow what are they fast :) got a notification from the shop today that they arrived. now let's play , first fieldtest tomorrow at tijdfestival in amsterdam :)
eadrian75: 42mm on DX is perfect! Me want
depends what kind of photography you are doing. for me the 35mm 1.8 is a nice lens but not very fast in focus. especially like shooting concerts you need focus the moment you press the button. in that case the 500$ more is not an issue anymore even when the quality of the image would be the same. it is a pitty that the 24 1.4 is also not as fast as the 17-55 2.8 in focusspeed otherwise I would already got myself that lens.
