    Very nice.

  • Commented on Danish Christmas Tree in the Christmas Trees challenge

Lovely intimate scene. I've never seen a Christmas tree lit with candles, though I've heard it was done long ago, before there was electricity. It would be nice to see it without the room lights.

  • Commented on valdai elka in the Christmas Trees challenge

Truly beautiful scene. Makes you want to be there and experience it first hand. Hope you get first place. Exquisite.

  • Commented on Flo in the Children challenge

Beautiful photo. Amazing what that little RX100 can do. Wonderful composition. Looks great in B+W. That girl's got a lot of character; she's going to be movie star.

  • Commented on So Young and So Melancholy in the Children challenge

Wonderful photograph, but hard to love because it is so sad. The descriptive commentary fits the mood of the girls. It's all there. Heartbreaking. (I've got to get one of those Lumix 12-35s for my...

    Amazing J.M.W. Turner-esque scene.

  • Commented on Jantye in the Sailing Boats challenge

Can't help but be reminded of N.C. Wyeth; all you need are the clouds.

  • Commented on The Great Regate in the Sailing Boats challenge

This is a splendid scene. The perfect cloud and water interplay with the boat, the silvery water, the pastels, and the clarity. Unfortunately, I think the seagull is a distraction. I wish the file...

  • Commented on Where the bowsprit goes ..... in the Sailing Boats challenge

Great composition. Really captures the thrill of it.

Unfortunately, this wonderful mural is no more. It was painted on a car dealership wall. Now the land has houses built on it. I got there just in time for this surreal juxtaposition. It's as though the artist knew its life would be short, and anticipated its demise. (Lesson: Always carry a camera with you!)

  • Commented on Things are looking up in the Street Art challenge

An ugly wall turned into splendid art. The surrounding "frame" just melts away. How did you get the vignetting effect? A great choice.

  • Commented on High Art Paintshop. in the Street Art challenge

All your efforts were rewarded with a great photo. Even the sky cooperated.. Remarkable mural. Van Gogh would have been pleased.

  • Simply magnificent. It must have been stunning to witness this.
