MayaTlab0: Any news regarding auto ISO implementation ?

I guess than MayaTiabO means a real auto iso implementation, where you can use exposure compensation for exemple.
At this day, there is only one brand to propose that feature : Pentax.

So, they are 'photographers' who can give a 0.5 rating for such magical shot ? I can't believe it.
GeorgiaBirds, i hope you've make a big print of this one, it's just perfect... It makes me a little bit jealous too, i wish to shot such beautiful pictures.

naththo: Some are really wash out in colours :\ From these samples in here I looked at. I guess they dpreview cannot use other than default setting cos this is only preview. Hopefully Leica need to fix firmware to improve colours in default for some customers but I don't think many will buy them due to very pricey.

What's the point to have DNG's ? People can't judge straight out Jpgs ?

KatManDEW: Wow. A tilt screen? I thought pros didn't want tilt screens.

It's a 'heritage' from the classic 645 film cameras. They where ofently used with a waist level viewer, handled in front of the chest.
A camera handled at this level makes nice perspective for portraits.

JeanPierre Thibaudeau: I really only see the water color effect at ISO 800 in the man's face. If you don't pixel peep and look at the overall picture, the images are impressive with sharpness and color accuracy, even at ISO 6400. Olympus is now spreading it's impressive newly acquired technology in all kinds of cameras. If only they would release it in a standard 4/3 DSLR, it would please a lot of people who owns a lot of 4/3 lenses.

But to pack a 24 X zoom in a such a small pocketable body is quite a feat. And if you add the 5 axis stabilisation in it is really another step ahead for the non stop innovative company that is Olympus. Bravo Olympus!

Gosh ! A lot of wtercolor...

retro76: People rave about Fuji's output, but every sample picture I see doesn't strike me as being anything special, in fact I dare to say very 'average' looking. I know I am missing something here, can someone help me understand this ?

I, totaly agree with that, i'm not impressed at all by the Fuji's images i've seen, except for hi-isos.
The images look like washed & blurry, i guess than Fuki puts a LOT of treatment to obtain such render.

mamiller: Intriguing camera, very retro-attractive. But 350 shots per battery charge is a show stopper for me. Why is dismal battery life not listed as a con in the review summary? No other camera classified as semi-pro has a rating of less than 750 shots per charge, to my knowledge -- most average even more shots than that.

"Why not buy more batteries ?"
Because i make time-lapse with my cameras. And i can't change a battery during a sequence shoting.
(I can make something around 2000-2500 shots with my K5 and one battery, i've preset a mode where i turn down every stuff than consume batteries, like LCD screen, AF...)

misolo: A 35mm-format DSLR sensor is just a 1.26 crop from the 645Z's sensor. That's a smaller difference than between "full-frame" and APS-H, or between APS-C and micro four-thirds. It does give access to some lovely lenses, but without a truly medium-format sized sensor, my gear lust for this is dampened... In any case, kudos to Ricoh Pentax for turning the over-priced competition into a joke.

Sorry, my English is a little rusty :)

Technically speaking, all sensors up to 24x36 are medium format.
