How about the rumored 300mm f4? I'm interested in that one ;-). More and more new lenses are a good thing (unless you have G.A.S.)!

With three excellent lenses to choose from with your requirements, not including manual focusing lenses, I would hardly call it a "short list" or "not a system for those going prime."  Try enjoying...
