Much more promising than Lytro. In Lytro you have one lens per resulting pixel, so you need millions of lenses and hundreds of millions of detectors at the one sensor. Very wasteful.

If you want to use it - you pay - monthly. Its that simple. Regarding updates, you can probably avoid updates. Its probably a setting. But - it wont affect your payments.

@anthony. Last I looked Elements did not have history. Editing gets so much easier with history.
