vodanh1982: E-P5 17 f/1.8 vs Nex-6 24 f/1.8, which one is better?
The Sony is a ZEISS in name only its never seen a Zeiss factory
it,s just a marketing agreement between sony and Zeiss
If you want to bandy great names about then a "LEICA" lens can be fitted to the Olympus Camera ......
Kendunn: Tough sell, as by these comments. What is really going to be tough is people are mad and will make do for years with CS6 and those years will be lean for Adobe. I see this happening- no one will be buying by the month but holding on to what they have. In the mean time this will open up the market for developers and before people outgrow CS6 the competition will have something for $250 that is a step up from CS6 and Adobe will be out in the cold
Lets hope so
I expext they will do a Micro four thirds version also
when they get "Around touit" ;)
D1N0: What would we say when Nikon would target snipers in a marketing campaign? Blow out the infidels brains from a safe distance of 1.5 miles with the new Nikon head shot targeting scope.
Sniper confirmed kill(S) at 1.5 miles

Thinking out loud: Trophy hunters are serial killers who get great pleasure out of destroying living creatures - the "trophy" is just a convenient excuse for their blood lust. If you doubt this, watch videos of the "hunt". They stalking their prey from a distance (the animals do not sense them) using telescopic sights on their rifles, they slaughter them with a high velocity bullet. The interesting bit is just how excited they get - orgasmic in fact, they rush over to the kill and marvel at just how magnificent the dead animal is. It does not occur to them that it was magnificent until they brutally end its life!
Perhaps the only good thing about this is that these morons are killing animals and not humans - as far as we know.
But killing humans is fair game? You are twisted. Auction off your organs and live it up for a year then off yourself so others may benefit from your existance even if not from your morality or ideology maybe your biology.
Your just one of those SICK hunters who enjoy killing things for fun ..............
Most serial Killers start by abusing Animals before they move on to Humans ...or if they are American Gun fanatics SCHOOL CHILDREN.........
Has anyone tried this camera for INFRA RED ?????
I think it will be at least worth a look IF/When it becomes available in real life ....
not too sure that the camera will be of interest to me but the lenses (IF... they make a range of M4/3rds) might be .. and if not its no loss to me ....
cprevost: Looks like maybe the Chinese are entering the market. This will be interesting. If what usually happens holds true the cameras will suck at first but be cheap. They'll rapidly improve though and quickly drive prices down. If they make some reasonable lenses at good prices this could be good news for micro four thirds users. I doubt they'll compete with the high quality optics from Panny and Oly but if they can make something reasonably close for cheap prices they'll have a hit. Imagine a slew of optically good Chinese lenses for a hundred bucks or so.
Why do people think "The Chinese are entering the Market" ???
this is just a Chinese manufactured camera NOT a chinese company the Company is American JK imaging .. who have bought the rights to "Kodak" 's name .. the camera is no more "Chinese" than my Olympus Micro four thirds cameras "Assembled " in china ...
I have also noticed a Lack of mention of this "Camera" in anything to do with the Panasonic/Olympus websites and they seem to have the Rights to the "Micro four thirds" system
RDMPhotos: I am not taking sides but For all those that are defending Made in China products by pointing out things like the iPhone and some M.Zuiko lenses are made there, you should also know that those company's send their own employees over there (dozens) to over see production and quality assurance of their products before they get exported. Yes it increases costs a little (which is just passed on to us in the retail prices they charge), but still with the cheep labor costs it's still inexpensive compared to being made in most other countries..
Remember ..It's like when Zeiss had Sigma make its Jenna Zoom lenses and had their German guys over seeing production, but later when sigma released their own, less expensive, lenses in the same Focal length and speed, the optics were not always good depending on the copy you got. I know more examples too, like Minolta making their Fisheye lens for Leica, but I don't want to write any more..
.......Quality control makes a huge difference....
Zeiss did not have its Jena zoom lenses made by Sigma .... "Zeiss jena" had nothing to do with the "Carl Zeiss foundation" after 1945.... Real Zeiss lenses were made in Japan By Yashica (Tomioka) after 1973 ;)
tkbslc: See, it only took the Chinese a week to figure out how to make money with the Kodak name in Digital. Kodak could have done this 3-4 years ago.
The Chinese havent come up with anythin g have they ....It's a US company all the Chinese do is manufacture it ..... for JK imaging of California
The decisive matter is of course going to be Price £ $
Having just read all these incredibly stupid "Septics" in this article it no wander your people are always popping down to the nearest school or shopping mall and shooting everyone .....
Aperture Creations: Winning first prize would be the one I'd want! "Distagon T* 2,8/15 ZM"
*except for the Distagon T* 2,8/15 ZM
read the small print
Cy Cheze: OK, so what would the anti-Time critics pick a the 10 best news photos of the year? Very likely, the images would be other views of disaster, mayhem, rescues, or mourning. When your neighbor is berieved, do you pick a shot of a touchdown pass as "the most memoriable image of 2012"? Or should that image be a sonogram of an expected Royal heir? Images of flags, steeples, and mother? A dwarves' cottage and Bambi by a silver stream?
Good things happened in 2012, surely, but do they allow for imaginative photographic depiction? Will any rank as "important events" after 10 years?
Heavens, think of the temerity if Time ventured to pick a "Camera of the Year"? Oh, the carnage that would ensue!
Its not claimed to be "The 10 best news photos of the year "
its claimed to be "top 10 photos of the year" and they clearly are not that .....
DickyUK: not many there i consider that interesting ....... top ten "Photojournalist " photos maybee but TOP TEN photos not really ........
not my type of photo either ....as you would have known if you had bothered to look at my gallery..... maybe a more diverse selection would have been good .....
not many there i consider that interesting ....... top ten "Photojournalist " photos maybee but TOP TEN photos not really ........
I think it says more about TIME magazine than it does about the Sony RX100......
lazy lightning: Plain awful. Fred Miranada Forums here we come!

It's truly awful ........who designed it ? stevie Wonder / or ray Charles ?

Those knobs are very easy to use
