Agentul, you don't HAVE to substantiate your claim -- the user of your work has to prove it is their work. Frivolous claims don’t get anywhere -- it is too expensive for people to make...

Greg, you are from the US where this has been the norm -- but we in most of the rest of he world have NEVER had to register our works to gain copyright protection. I see your argument as twisted...

Costs about $100 and more and better layers! Stable as a train and zaps along at warp speed. Does a helluva lot itself and takes PS plug-ins.

B&H said they would perform and they did not (assuming the OP's statement is right). So he has a perfect right to complain. His planning was perfectly adequate; people have a right to rely on a...

Totally different thing, I would say, Daisy. Apart from anything else, commercial interests from time to time push the boundaries deliberately to create an outcry -- and thus gain huge amounts of...

Excellent, Chris. People on this forum keep saying the G5 is too big -- they simply have not looked at the measurements.
I have an E-PL3 with the VF2 on top nearly all the time and while I have...

Me too. Several occurrences have taught me to command-c before I click on Post.
Nice work, Detailer.

That was no guru, that was just a politician trying to rationalize slaughtering hundreds of thousands of people and wrecking a whole country for no reason other than personal hubris and political...

Excellent, Anders, many thanks -- I knew there was a real reason (not just photographic snobbery) to lash out (as I did on a whim) the other day and buy Fotga extension tubes for around $60 on eBay...

Hiya Russ
I think you need to clarify what you mean by "same results". I don’t think you would argue that you cannot get as good a shot with a CSC as a DSLR. I suspect what you’re actually talking...

I wouldn’t be so categorical, Jamie. Prefocus, yes, but let’s not be too hardline on exactly what "pre" means -- 2 minutes or 2 seconds! :)
The important thing is to overcome the SLR habit -- with...

Wow! Talk about an exercise in bad taste. LOL.

In "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, Robert Pirsig suggests that when everyone makes a judgement on quality here is a high level of agreement.
He's right.
So for lens tests, I would like...

But I don’t think Ming locates "modern" there. These young people… :)
As for more recent designs -- depends on the subject.
Exactly how I regarded it after getting over my initial disappointment...

No single rule covers everything, but by and large a slightly softer approach is best, I believe.
Note the "by and large".
If you were doing sitting portraits as a business within the general...
