Try the Lowepro Napoli 30
Soft leather and a perfect fit for camera and memory card ( no room for battery )
I normally use the Sony ERC but the Lowepro is ideal when walking around without a jacket.

Setting the NR to-2 still leaves watercollouring on the jpegs. I tried this as I was desperate to keep the camera ; it is a thing of beauty! THe smearing of the jpegs was too much and NOTHING you...

Poor Greens and smeary jpegs are why I returned the X20. If Fuji issues a firmware fix then I'll buy another but until then I'm sticking to the X10 and RX100 as my compact choices. Lovely camera...

I don't mind your drab results they're similar to my own.
I normally shoot jpeg+raw so jpegs always come out at standard settings no matter what camera tweaks might apply to jpeg only shooting. It...

I was a mug and bought the X20 to go with my X10.
I have to say that the Fujis are lovely cameras to use with great colour and a built-in RAW converter which I use to make variations of my shots...

Try dropping the HIGHLIGHT TONE towards soft.
It worked for me the last time I needed to improve the sky.
-
My JPEG as good as it gets
My RAW minimal processing in SilkyPix could be improved in Lightroom 4.4

Yes in Selfridges to replace my Black Fuji X10.
Fours days later I returned it as the Jpeg files were ghastly (or at least I was used to better).

I'm using a Lemix version bought through Amazon UK.
Comes with travel adaptors and does the job without long wires to the plug.
Search : Lemix (BX1) fast charger for battery NP-BX1

My copy has focus issues with the A55 while the kit lens is perfect.
I haven't used the CZ lens or my Sony Kit for ages as it put me off DSLRs completely.

Yes , you're right. A lot of the noisiest early adopters seem to have gone away : I'm one of them.
My X20 went back leaving me with the excellent "orb-less" X10 and the tiny RX-100 ; a fag-packet...

Your original post was correct. At f2 the lens is useless especially for Macro.
When you read the DPReview carefully and then the comments of the lens designers on the X100 website you start to...

That may be true for you but it wasn't for me.
The jpegs are as important as the RAW files because many of the useful X20 Modes are jpeg only.
Those jpegs were inferior to my X10 jpegs and now with...

I'm very new to this camera and like many in this forum tend to downplay the Scene Modes but I'm becoming addicted to the Picture Effects ( especially when repeated 2 or 3 times ) to...

As with most cameras , sharp Macro shots need a smaller aperture to keep the focused area looking pin sharp.
My Fuji X100 needs F8 to achieve anything useful in macro mode ( unless you like the...

My theory is don't buy the cheapest and look for signs of quality usually avoiding Ebay and going through Amazon. I've no Wasabi battteries but there are other quality makers too.
Amazon resellers...

I have both cameras and they are so different. Both represent the best of their kind.
If you can live with a fixed prime then the X100 will repay you handsomely and still be worth more than the...

For some reason the RX100 never really hit my radar as a serious camera. I'd read the excellent reports especially on Luminous Landscape being a Rollei 35 lover but my compact needs were nicely...

It's not the first of his blogs that I thought of little value the last one I read concerned Leica.
Nice pics though

The RAW files don't look bad at all which gives me hope that Fuji can fix the X20 jpeg engine.
If they do that I'll buy another one.
