Sergey Borachev: Nice idea! But a fixed 28mm equiv lens, f/2.8 lens, and $1,100? or $1,550 with EVF? really?

It's time for Olympus or Panasonic to release a fixed lens M43 camera with the OMD sensor, a 35mm equiv f/2.0 lens in a body that is even smaller and cheaper than this.

I also want a camera like the Sony RX100 with a bigger sensor to use at concerts when DSLRs aren't allowed.

I wonder if this camera would be allowed in concerts in the US since it doesn't have a removable lens. lol

toomanycanons: I have two Sigma lenses and they're both great (10-20 f/4-5.6 and an 18-50 f/2.8-4.5). If this new 18-250 is as sharp as my two lenses I'm gonna get one.

What Tamron alternative? :O

I want the super wide Sigma 10-20mm.

I'm looking for an all in one lens. I'm not sure which one would be better? I had the 55-250mm lens, and didn't use it much because I don't like switching lenses often.

I've been thinking about the Sigma 17-70mm, and now I'm considering this one. Which one do you recommend? I know this lens is not out yet, so there isn't much to say. Would you recommend waiting or get the Sigma 17-70mm now?

Ivan Lietaert: Large sensor? Let's not get too carried away with an 1'' sensor. Compared to an ASP-C, it is still very small. Lens is F1.8 - F5.9
These two factors make isolation of subject against a blurred background unsuccessful, except in macro-mode.

I hate it when dpreview is 'plugging' new cameras with the argument of a big sensor, while it is definitely not.
People who buy this camera will buy a dslr a year later, mark my words. A camera like this one is not expanding, but limiting creativity.

I want to buy a camera like this for concerts. I already have a DSLR.

How do I see your picture? I'm not an expert, but love looking at pictures. I would be very happy if people voted on mine too. :) I bet we would all be happy if we all got votes. haha. I love photography, and would say I'm a little above beginner, but still don't know everything yet. I can certainly use tips to improve. Hopefully you guys get to see my picture. :)

Can someone vote for their pic? It doesn't say anything about not voting for it. Hmm. How do you vote? I've never been in a dpreview challenge before. I have been looking for a new lens, and this one looks very good for my Canon T2i.
