Spent two weeks there with a new D2x, with a 17-55 and a Nikon strap boldly advertising the model, and never once felt there was any risk of theft.
I found it to be a very safe city, but generally...

To me, it serves no useful purpose, and if you shoot RAW you already have one original version of the image with all the data. I can print from Capture, or save to a .JPG or .TIFF for printing,...

I appreciate the white balance from NX2. Invariably when I think the shot isn't quite on "as shot", I set it to the lighting I remember. If I was outdoors, I can click on "daylight", and usually...

Nothing works with .NEF files like Capture NX2.
I understand that Google didn't buy it. If so, someone from NIK may be able to keep it in development. I would really miss it, since I figured out...

I'm too lazy to Google it.

Which barely sells cameras at all.... Thanks for the comment: Thought provoking.

It's an FX lens. Go figure.
Don't use DX bodies if you want wide angle lenses. Not their forte.

This is an f/8 shot at 400mm, and the focus point is on the whiskers. At 100%, the whiskers are pretty sharp considering this is a 5x zoom.
Looking like a great travel lens for those who aren't...

Clean the sensor. This is pretty mild, so heal, stamp, or clone it away. One of the joys of DSLRs.You will get a lot more of these over time.

You would have found many of the things about which you complain in post after post - most of them not being valid objections. In my experience, your complaints are most likely the result of user...

There is too little use for a 15, alone. If you want one lens for such a trip, you need a zoom.

I have enough confidence in the lens that I sprung for the Lee kit so that I can have graduated neutral density filters. I rarely use any other filter other than a polaroid, and they don't work...

One trip to NYC I took only the 14-24 to get accustomed to it. Overall, my best photos of the city.I did rent a 24 pc-e for one trip, and it is a beautiful lens, especially in a city of tall...

Very hard to find Lee products, and took quite awhile to get the 14-24 kit. Have not had time to use it.Very large, well designed product - clever and seems very well thought out. I expect to use...

But everyone is different. Rent a 35 for a week and see if it works for you.For general landscape work, i think a 24 is ideal. But that's me.How far back can you move and still get the shots you...

Having a camera company not be perfect seems to be part of the territory. My Nikon rate of failure over the last 40 years has been much lower than my Canons. Canon refused to cover my p&s under...

Could really use a quality lighted loupe, however.

If it doesn't work, they don't respond. Pretty expensive for a piece of cheap plastic, and mine didn't work right out of the box.

They have no end of questions, want an answer to every hypothetical they can dream up, and unhappy that the end result wasn't predictable all along.
