It's not the slowest out there but still quite sluggish on my GH1. IQ is also average at best. But being cheap and compact something's gotta give.

Guys, can someone please gently shake their 18-55 lens and tell if they feel there is something loose inside?

It shoots ok in good indoors light though (shutter above 60 and ISO under 3200 and minimum aperture is enough). AF is fairly quick.

In not a very good indoors light I have AF misses (red square) one out of three times. If the target is moving more than that.Not sure how uncharacteristic is that.

I am sorry but at best you can say that GH3 holds its ground pretty well @6400. But saying it's better, when it's obvious that GH3 produces a substantially more noisy image, is quite a stretch.
