quadrox: Excellent shot!

However, I am curious whether the pink/purple coloration is natural or mostly a result of post-processing?

Your photo is great either way, I just don't think I have seen those colors anywhere in nature.

Ok thanks - I hope to be able to catch colors like that sometime as well then :)

Great shot, I really like this one. Simple concept overall, but the execution makes it a top notch photo.

Doesn't match the simplicity theme in any way, half star for that, sorry.

Love the shot - but the shoe ruins the nature aspect for me. Sorry.

Fits the theme well, but not a good shot in itself.

Great shot, love it, but straying a bit too far from "simplicity". 3 stars.

Bad lighting and composition, too busy for "simplicity" theme. Half star.

Love the concept and picture, but does not fit "simplicity" theme well enough for my taste. Framing and background could be improved as well.

It's a good picture, but for my personal taste it does not express "simplicity" very well - the snow is too "busy". Otherwise I like it a lot - but with so many good entries I have to make choices, and this is one where I must vote low.

I agree, excellent shot for this challenge!

This shot has a lot of potential, but I would redo it with softer and less flat lighting. If you don't have fancy equipment, a large piece of paper or similar will server nicely as a modifier for your light.

Can gold substitute for yellow?

I like this image, but I am uncertain whether it is actually on-topic. I am not very experienced with dpreview challenges, what do other users think? How do you treat off-topic images, low rating? I would like some guidance..-
