Shamael: 1/4000 th fastest speed, a big bulk body, just any Nikon DSLR with a flat oldie style top. I do not know what is so exciting in this camera. Most that watched the teasers where awaiting a real FM2 sized copy in digital. Now, look Sony A7, 24mpix, 1/8000th, video, mirrorless, light, handsome, and less than 1700 for the body. Now, I wait for a price of 1400$ for this body, it's not worth a cent more. But, as we know Nikon...... they dig their own grave with there pricing policy. This camera must sell same price as the A7 body, lens included, thus some 1700$. If they sell it higher, they will lose that game. This is far from being a progress in technology and the fact that all Nikon past lenses will fit on it is not a real marketing advantage. On any Sony you can use all lenses with adpaters, this camera is limited to F mount only. Nikon really sucks. The only thing they are able to build are DSLR's, anything else they touch ends with a disaster.
I would not be sure about the lack of 1/8000. It may be hidden under 1/3 STEP to make the dial look more retro. I believe the last time Nikon used those dials it maxed at 1/4000
