Ranked #1 "Internet Most Feared"
focalphotography: The main reason any site including most of the UK news media websites do stories about the iPhone is for Google ranking and search engine optimization.
Daily mail is a good example of this doing maybe 2-3 stories about iPhone every week !!
" it has nothing to do with hate."
Yes it does. You're Apple haters. The iPhone is the #1 camera used on Flickr. The percentage of iPhone news or articles on this site is probably much less than 1%, yet even that is too much for haters.
marike6: If you haven't seen the Bruce Logan (Director) and Philip Bloom (DP) short called Genesis, it's definitely worth checking out as the camera performs superbly and the crew did a superb job with it.
And for a more informal, street shoot video done also done with the GH3 that also looks fantastic, see the next link.

Tape5: The emperor's new camera ....does it all and better at one tenth the price ...
John Brawley's footage by the way looks outright awful to me...and what is this Bondi thing? shy of smaller places? close ups? wider lenses? low light indoors? faster camera movements ? shy of all things indie?
And this aluminium weird shape locked battery thing... has a bit too much of Jobs in it for my liking: take more of their money by pushing form over function.
I say no thank you.
"It looks like an Apple contrived consumer junk, "
Tape5: "Ok, I rephrase that. A tablet that can run all the high demand 64b software that is currently running on your PC or Mac."
I see. And Tablet versions or all this "high demand" software is being written as we speak, right? And the magical high powered 64 bit tablet that can run this "high demand" software will run for how long on a full charge?
marike6: I don't understand why Apple, who has some of the very best coders in the world, didn't make FCP X backwards compatible from the start. If it was a "business" decision, it seems like all the negative press and a collectively angry user base would have been anticipated. It's not very smart to alienate a loyal user base. And with no compatibility with FCP 7, nothing is stopping pros from moving to Premiere or Avid. But I guess when you are having more financial success than Exxon Mobile, you can get away with such antics.
Egg of Nyx wrote: "So, as much as it pains me to do so, I will be going over to the Premier Pro."
"the" Premier Pro? Sure you will. Let us know how that works out for you gamer/hater.
paul13walnut5: Ship has sailed. Vimeo & youtube level users shooting on consumer cameras migrating from iMovie love FCPX, folk who need any engineering monitoring, tape ingest or timecoded tape out, omf export & otherpro functions were never going to early adopt.
Apple should have launched FCPX as FCE5 this level of user is where the price and functionality is pitched at & should have launched FCP8 as an FCP7 upgrade in 64bit and able to use all the RAM and be backwards compatable.
Apple have decided that tape is dead. Unfortunately the clients who pay for my living have not.
I could buy FCPX and hope that A) it gets to a professional level, and B) that Apple just don't drop it anytime soon.
Or buy a computer that lets me work the way I did before: Adobe Premiere even has FCP shortcuts! With FCPX apple has finally given me a choice- run premiere or a mac or PC.Apple and Apple fanboys have often chanted the mantra "FCP7 still works" Yes it does. And FCPX still doesn't. Not for pros.
Here's a tip for you Mr. Walnuts: When you use the term "Apple fanboys", you identify yourself as a basement-dwelling gamer/hater/creep. I sorta weakens the impact of your anti-Apple hater BS.
zato: The V1 will be a great video camera for YouTubers.
Especially with the 10->100 zoom it would be a creative mini studio cam.
