Replied in Want to go in fared- not sure which camera
I can't think of any advantage to buying a Micro 4/3 camera and having it converted. If you buy a used 50D from an eBay seller with a good reputation, that would be my recommendation.
Better...

Replied in vintage Flash Unit question
The 285 should work beautifully with this:

Replied in Sigma 30/1,4 and Profy use
I have the Sigma 30mm 1.4 and on my 30D it is my all-time favorite lens. It is sharp, fast, and quiet and the image quality is outstanding.
However, on my 20D the focus is off. I don't know if...

Replied in Controlling your flash via an extra-long E-TTL cord

I'm with Martin on this. I have a Tamron SP-AF 2x (which got very good reviews) and the results with my Canon 70-200 2.8 are fair - not great, but not terrible either. The Canon 1.4x (version I)...

Replied in Which one is better SIGMA 50mm f1.4 or CANON f1.4
My Canon 1.4's autofocus is slow and sometimes erratic. When it locks on it's very sharp though... I have had it for a decade and it made the transition from film to digital with me.
However,...

Wrote an article Simulated ISO 102,400 photos
Is the new Canon 1DX really worth $6700? For some photographers, it will be. If you really, really need to shoot in low-light situations, this body will give you capabilities never before possible.
