I am still using Photoshop CS3, this version will work for me as long as I use XP, or Windows 7. I do not need the latest features of CS5, 6 etc., I can convert RAW files with other converters and...

He said "if you have young kids you are better off with an etry levelĀ DSLR" and he is perfectly right. Of course you will get sharp in focus shots with an X-E1, specially if you prefocus, but the...

Yes, I see it the same way. It would have also avoided all the RAW converter issues. The "Fuji colour" was also in the x100 (with a traditional sensor), good high ISO as well, and resolution is not...

The 5dII is not very good at high ISO either, colours get pale from ISO1600 upwards, specially skin tones in artificial light.
Why not compare the Fuji with the one I have mentioned - the nex-7?...
-
Yes, but according to Fuji marketing, the "X-trans" factor should bring it close to the higher pixel count, which it doesn't however.
"Most useful" is very subjective. To me it is not.. I don't...

Having the X-E1 and having had the Nex-7 for quite a while (but not the Oly) I can confirm that in terms of resolution, the Nex-7 is stellar, probably the best camera with crop sensor available....

The Fuji shot looks smoother and more pleasing WB, but I guess they can be made to look much more similar... While Leica lenses will be better than the Fujinon in many cases, this will be useless...

I wonder how Zack Arias has made it into so many posting titles recently. Sure, he is beta testing Fuji's cameras and publishes a lot of his videos on youtube, but honestly, looking at his stuff,...

Well, not exactly. The question is: When will another manufacturer develop a system camera that looks beautiful, is compact and light, has manual controls and lenses that weith (at least most of...

in many cases, the X-E1 will be much better, as well as for high ISOs (even with cheating for 1 stop) but for DR and smooth highlights, and - in my opinion - also colour, I rate the S5pro higher...

Instead of adding complicated new AF algorithms, what about them adding those pathetic 12 lines (estimated) of firmware code to allow a smooth real world use of Auto ISO??
I also see in their lens...

I find the statements made so far not very equilibrated. The 5dII with good lenses (like my adapted Zeiss ZF lenses) is capable of first class images, better in detail than the Fuji. First it is FF...

"The character and the harshness of the vintage optics" - this is really funny. Did you make this up by yourself?
Funny you!

Oh thanks, I already wrote them a letter, very polite and quick answer but also very vague about the perspective of that fix.

The X-Pro-1 is nice, but if the rumoured XP2 has better processing power, the hybrid AF, more fluid EVF, and so on, like a X-Pro1-s, I'd buy that to accompany my X-E1. Right now I would not pay the...

I am looking for a good and sharp 50-135/ 150mm lens, if possible f2,8 for my crop DSLR - I had stopped to really watch this market a while ago, but a few years ago there were tele zooms by Tokina...

I checked the new results made with Adobe's latest final version of the converter and of the Lightroom engine by looking - as suggested - at the interactive studio tool.
I compared the X-Pro1 to...

that it is not only quite sharp at f1,4 (which many older manual lenses are not), but it is also well built AND compact AND light. Manual focus is better than on modern plastic AF lenses, not as...

... du tout - photographers have very well done without it for the last 12 years of digital photography. A good (precise) AF plus LCD/ EVF magnification by pressing one button is all that's...

Because not enough people write directly to FUJI. I did to ask for this feature (selectable minimum shutter speed in Auto ISO), and got an answer, albeit a quite vague one.
However if a few hundred...
