First I wanted to just paste and copy my reply in the Fuji forum but most of the posts here were different. More civilized.
The advantages of mirrorless cameras are obvious: size and weight. I...

Let's start with what I did not:
I didn't sleep with your wife.
I did not insult or attack you or your family.
I did not even say that mirrorless cameras are not a good choice!
I'm shocked by some...

Hi,
I can't tell what the old FW did but I choose shutter speed and aperture and the camera selects the ISO level. This is how Auto-ISO should work.

Thank you very much! You are right. Coat is clipped. Haven't seen it before. Good thing is that I also shot RAW. The Velvia setting is a little prone to clip the red channel.

Thank you very much.
I also thought that the lens might be too wide. I would have preferred a 16mm ( 24mm ) lens but the 14mm is really great. I also like the 35mm but to me it's a short portrait...

Hope you like them. Thanks for watching.

Thank you for your very nice comment. I really enjoyed the trip.

Yes it works best with the 18mm but I also have no issues with the 35mm. For critical framing and indoors it's the EVF.

Faced the same decision. I had the 4/70-200L because it's so light but I wasn't happy with the handling when I used the 1.4TC. I considered the 70-300L but last minute I decided for the 2.8/70-200L...

It's the same with me. I think that under more controlled conditions the resulting pictures are very close. I'm always amazed when I look at the results with the 35mm lens wide open. This is as...

The Leica shot is clearly better because of the better, less busy background. But that has nothing to do with the cameras or lenses. It is just because the second shot has a less attractive...

Thank you. I checked the Voigtländer OVF. Nice piece. The biggest issue is that I don't think I like to use an external viewfinder if there is an internal one but I will try one out if possible.

The 18mm is not terrible. I have no idea where you got this information.
The 18mm is very good and sharp in the center even if shot at f2. If you don't shoot brick walls all the time it's a fine lens.
-
It's not a typo. The 35mm is a very, very good lens but it is also not too hard to produce a good 35mm lens. The 14mm lens is outstanding and it's not a piece of cake to make a good superwideangle...

Hi,
here is the link: ( plus some thoughts about the XF14 on the X Pro-1 incl. a sad conclusion )

Who cares about the performance of the 35mm at f5.6. The real reason to choose it over the zoom is to shoot at f1.4 or f2.0.
