Out of curiosity what do you find yourself using the 40mm f1.8 for predominantly.  Also, could you post any macros you've taken (or share links to others' photos you've come across) with a Konica...

@GaryW - thanks, I think you're right about the moving water in the foreground.  Upon closer examination of all the attempted panos with the jagged horizon, it seems there was fast moving waves....

Actually, maybe fewer coffees might help!
