redhed17: "It finds itself in the same class as the Canon EOS 7D Mark II"
Maybe in the marketing it is the same 'class' as the 7DII, but from the spec sheet, it matches the 70D more closely imho.
Sensor aside, and all the Nikon DX cameras have better sensors than Canon, otherwise the 7DII wipes the floor as a performance/enthusiast/Pro, whatever you want to call it, camera.
Those extra FPS are very useful for BIF photos. Disappointed Nikon cant keep up with Canon in this regard.
Craig Atkinson: sounds promising although the S95 is the 'looker' of the two.
Correction to last post.. should have read "Think the 24mm-120mm lens will mean too much vignetting."
I use the S95 for digiscoping where the 17mm lens movement between 28 and 105mm means minimal vignetting. Think the 24mm-120mm. Shame as the quicker fps and burst would have made it ideal for digiscoping purpose.
