stepping forward to compensate for a 20 when you want a 25 gives some bad perspective distortion. The 4/3 25 was pretty nice. Don't know why you think they can't make one for m43.
Everything...

There is a big difference between a 20mm lens and a 25mm lens in FL. If there wasn't, Panasonic wouldn't have come out with the P/L 25 for just the f1.7 to f1.4 aperture change. Then, once you...

affordable, small, I don't care if it's f2 or f2.8. Huge hole in the Oly lineup IMO! Panasonic chose to go with the 20 to cover "normal" then offered the big and expensive P/L 25 for high quality...

you killed the shadows and contrast too much in your final image.

Well, it is somewhat bigger than the 30:

and MUCH bigger than my Oly 17/2.8!

I compared my 14 to 2 of my friends' and they all exhibit the same soft edges and bad CA (on Oly bodies). Honestly, I really feel the main reason to use the 14 over the zoom is because of liking...

Thanks! I don't know how "impressive" the Tair-3 is, but it certainly came through for these photos. It's kind of a leftover from my Russian camera craze back in my film days. If I found I was...

I have six pieces in this exhibit (images posted with announcement):

I don't think the Pan 14 is really all that good a lens. My Oly 17 is certainly as good or better and has a nicer character IMO (none of the excessive CA on my Oly body).
What I like about the 14...

You can probably "learn" all the basics in a few hours, but applying them while composing photos is a life long learning effort.

Agreed! My main complaint with the 30 is that it flares similarly to the P20.
-
but the 45 will not blur a background out as much as your 85 wide open. it also isn't as long, but the bokeh is much nicer IMO (so is the EF 100).
-
Yes, the lens flares and ghosts more than I would like. Guess that would be my only real complaint about the lens... nothing's perfect.

I don't like when someone complains about someone like you posting about something that you are excited about simply because it is not new.
If there was only supposed to be one thread for each...

I ordered mine off ebay. Nice because you just collapse it and put the lens cap back on... way faster then a hard hood IMO.

This is rude.
He's asking for new stuff from a lens that he is getting new.

I use a $5 collapsible rubber hood. Works great and is super convenient!

Last set I shot with my 45:

Nice little AF lens! Pretty nice bokeh (as I think you can see in my photos!)

Well, that made it easier for me! :)
$199 was a whim purchase, $250, not so much so.
Really waiting for OM-D price drop after the E-M6 gets released anyway...
