I think my EOS 3 was the only camera I owned that had 1/8000th and as neat as I thought it was going to be to shoot primes close to wide open on sunny days, it just didn't pan out being all that...
-
If this is true, how do you know that the engineering plastic inner frame isn't better? Certainly it can have superior damping and thermal expansion properties. And an impact that is strong enough...
-
Hopefully you can learn to use the camera you are shooting effectively.
-
I think I'll just leave it as they are both really good cameras!

Took these all handheld. 1/4-1/2 sec.! E-P1 IS working away!

let me know what you think!
thanks!

Ok, special circumstances... for most of the world, the price comparison that I point out is more in line. Was not aware of Malaysia pricing. Sure, that pricing would change everything for me!
If...
-
Well Scott, let's be fair in this comparison then! You may have found a great deal somewhere, but current B&H price is $500 for the macro and the Sigma has a *list* price of only $240. The list...

Well, from this post, I would suggest that you are not a good candidate for using primes in the first place.

I have to agree with you here. My sig 30 is pretty much as big as I want to go... it's not bad, especially since its so light, but really I WANT OLY TO MAKE A PANCAKE 25 OR 30!!!!!!
Too cheap to...
-
For around the same price of just your 25, you cover almost the same range. (Ok, not quite, but pretty damned close and on a budget, the 19+30+60 would be giving someone a really great arsenal of...

f2.8 is significantly faster than the 40-150! (I own one, nice lens on a tripod, but quite slow).
-
Me thinks the Sig 60's price will drop. I bought my Oly 45 when it was only a few months old and it cost me $400.
Also, the added reach of the 60 is nothing to sneeze at! This can be really useful...
-
don't knwo about the finger prints, but I think the deign is pretty ugly. I thought my plastic Sig 30 was kind of ugly, the new metal ones look way uglier!!!
My 30 is pretty much my most used lens...
-
Compare it to the Oly 45 or 70, if the sharpness and rendering are pretty good, being a fraction of the price makes this lens a very interesting choice!
I already have the Oly 45 and, for DoF...
-
It's a nice little lens capable of taking really good photos when stopped down.

Personally, I think the 17/2.8 is better than the Pan 14:
-
Ok, Sigma has announced a new 60/2.8 for probably $200 street. Awesome!!!
Get a body with kit zoom ('cuz occasionally a zoom is handy) and add the Sig 19, 30 and 60! Wow! If you can't be a good...
