Replied in Mako it's official!
She wants you to let Barney know that fame will not change her and she's his for ever....for now :) And yep, she's not letting me forget the 10/90% thing.

Replied in why it was worthless for you
You set your base ISO to 3200.
Base ISO (the ISO you set with the button on the back of the camera).
The Auto ISO feature calls for you to set min shutter speed and maximum ISO. You...

Replied in 30% discount on Topaz plugins before this Sunday, 5/27/12
Thank you, it worked well and I got Simplify for a very reasonable price as I wanted something just like that to play with from time to time.....without breaking the bank.

Replied in Try this dance.
No it will not...try this just as I suspect the OP did. Set Your auto ISO to a max of 3200. Set your Min shutter speed to 1/60 (or any thing else you might take a fancy to). Now using your Easy ISO...

Replied in Too cute
Now that is funny, LMAO. Put a hat on that monkey :)

Replied in Mako it's official!
Yeah!!!! Now She can live on in celebratory. I called Hallmark as you suggested and lets them comment on the pic for possible publication. They sent me a "Get Well" card. :) I have not given up,...

Replied in Set the wrong Base ISO
This has happened before. We had a post not to long ago and the same thing happened. You most likely set your base ISO to 3200 inadvertently and auto ISO will not go below that. Post a pic with...

Replied in Where does the Olympus 75/1.8 rank among the all-time legendary lenses?
"Targeted at" meaning it helps validate the ideal that it is indeed hard/impossible to get similar DOF isolation in the m4/3 format? I don't think that was the designers intent. That limitation is...

Replied in Where does the Olympus 75/1.8 rank among the all-time legendary lenses?
If you normally shoot your portraits at f3.5 and 150mm on FF I would have to agree with you. On the other hand, I see 75mm f1.8 as minimally acceptable regards DOF and one of the reasons I think...

Replied in Question
I agree with you on that (does it come on). I was being verbose I think because I was trying to figure out why he was wondering. Hasn't been a good day for me in the thinking department. :) Thanks...

Replied in Question
Question, Have you tried seeing what happens when AF-A switches to AF-C.....As when you move in towards the subject...does the assist light turn off?
I have my 70-200 mounted and AF-assist...

Replied in when SB-700 mounted
The Sb-700 AF-assist illumination is available for all AF sensors. The caveat though is with lens in the 24-135mm range, some focus box and illumination combinations may not give the AF system...

Replied in look at page 210
I already looked like an idiot once today so here I go again. The D7K's built in AF-assist illumination only works if you are in AF-S (or AF-A is in AF-S mode) and the central AF sensor is primary....

Replied in Why?
I can see that. It makes sense in terms of compromising to make best of a tough situation. As I said above. Low light bar work is where it will come into it's own and not really as a...

Replied in I'm Shocked!
He he...the biggest problem will be when TFergus finds out and points to me having to concentrate so hard on getting "a rushed to production" camera to focus properly which led to fatigue and...

Replied in my apologies
You are correct and my apologies. The "point and shoot" title caused me to totally miss the "P" mode and I fixated on "auto". You are indeed correct and menu e3 is assessable in "p" mode. The...
-
Replied in Not really doable
Not really a doable solution. Remember the OP wants to keep his D7000 in green "auto" exposure mode. In that mode, you can't access the e3 menu so no commander mode. Bummer.

Replied in D7000 - crooked shots
Just one note, Thom Hogan points that he has never seen a camera that was perfectly aligned and expects all to be +- 1 degree at worst. .4 of a degree might actually be within tolerances but still...

Replied in But it does
Don't forget that CS6 comes bundled with Adobe Bridge CS6 for free, so it has extensive organizing capability.

Replied in Your software recommendations please?
Two ways to look at this. IMO, if your looking to be able to also greatly manipulate your images, then CS6 is the way to go. By manipulate I mean do things like...
