A good 10-stop ND filter and mini tripod.

Maybe the number of featureless white wall photographer enthusiasts is greater than we predicted.

Relax. So the very cheapest zooms and primes of the lineup use some plastic. Every other lens is Made in Japan and entirely metal-bodied. Even the filter threads are metal. The upcoming 56/1.2...

It would, but given it's designed for a 1.5x crop sensor with a very short flange distance, it would be compact for what it is.

Would like to see a 200/2.4 pop on on the XF roadmap. I always find myself shooting at the long end wide open with telezooms so I guess primes are for me.

My X-Pro1 does a nice enough job, but the resolution is limited to 2,160 x 7,680, not the best for large prints.

A few other sites have conducted low-light comparisons of the 5 and 5s and there is a definite improvement. This scene doesn't tell the whole story.

*Looks at 56/1.2, hand reaches for wallet*

Nice video!
It looks like I will be going with 1080p video for the entire drive. If I can get two 25 minute clips out of one battery, swap in a fresh one at Checkpoint 1, charge the dead one and...

steephill,
Thanks for your detailed reply - especially good to hear that you can record two 25 minute clips in HD on one charge. I have looked into the Q AC adaptor kit. It runs about $99 here,...

Some are speculating that we could see an X-E1 successor before the X-Pro1 successor. Perhaps the X-Pro2 will use the new organic CMOS sensor developed by Fujifilm.
-
Not to mention that bulky plastic chunk with a sagging lens barrel - the X-S1. Products like the recent XF 23/1.4 show Fuji is committed to the higher end as well.

I figured as much. I'll do some testing - the mount has been ordered. It seems like a pretty sturdy...

I'm planning on using my Pentax Q and 02 zoom to record an approximately 2 hour long road rallye with a local car club. I'd like to mount the Q via a suction cup camera mount from the sunroof,...

If you look at the review of the X100S, the default shadow curve is a little harsher to give a bit more "pop" than the X-E1 and X-Pro1. Perhaps they did something similar to that here as well.

Nice to have a slightly wider wide-end on the typical kit zoom.

You're not just mindlessly twirling a soft dial with this system - the MF ring has markings that will always correspond to the focusing distance and the lag is minimal. Not perfect, but it's a...

Well, compare it to the XF 14mm. Entirely metal, including the filter threads, and it does have a hard stop at infinity. It is focus-by-wire, though.
