I'd cast my vote for the X-Pro1 and 35mm f/1.4 combo, especially considering the heavily-discounted deals for this month. And remember, the Fuji 56mm f1.2 will arrive early next year. It would be...

This camera deserves a lot more attention than it gets. The first "real" camera I had was a Pentax ME Super that my 5th grade librarian gave me in 2000. Compact and sturdy, attributes apparently...

Thanks! I used a Tiffen 3-stop ND filter along with the built-in ND filter on the third shot to blur out the water a bit.

I brought the Q out to West Texas this past weekend for some shots. This is an annual trip for me and I probably took my best pictures yet this year with the Q. Enjoy!

It's the top part of a grain silo finished out into a livable cabin. Plumbing, electricity and everything.
This weekend I will be taking a trip to the Devils River with my Q. I look forward to...

Here are some pics I took with my Q at a buddy's lake house north of Sheridan, TX. All RAW processed in Lightroom. The dynamic range is very impressive!

I suppose I meant "natural" in the sense that I greatly boosted color information that was already there in small amounts instead of just arbitrarily adding a color layer, etc. I had seen these...

The RGB channels are normalized and boosted in Photoshop. Google search "Colors of the moon" to see a tutorial. You can find much more beautiful and dramatic examples than mine.

Shot at f/11. A little PP in Photoshop to bring out the color.

Pentax K5II looks very clean, albeit with lower resolution.

I'm very excited about this - the f/1.2 speed makes it easier to justify having along with my 35mm f/1.4. Come to think of it, it has been quite some time since a newly-designed f/1.2 lens has...

"Just look at those bold, contrasty colors. How trite and proletariat! Pah!"

I'm pretty pleased with the sharpness of my XF 35/1.4 wide open in the corners and I know some reviews say it's fairly soft there as well. Do you think I would be put off by results from this...

Yeah, trust me, you'd regret at least not having the fisheye with you at such a scenic place.

Lovely shots! The vibrant green grass in the 2nd shot really grabbed my eye.

This is very surprising considering the lens barrel on the X10 is black-painted metal.

My adaptor finally arrived from China, allowing me to try out some old lenses on my Q. I have two Yashica lenses, a 50mm f/1.4 and 135mm f/2.8. Here is my first shoot with the 50mm f/1.4. Two shots...

Very good point. The zoom does have good IQ at the wide end, even wide open. Things get soft near the far end though. I guess it would be nice to have the prime for low light snaps of stage...

Superb shots and equally superb editing. I love them all!
