I don't know. What post did someone say that in? Post a link to it.
I thought of an even better counterexample: you can mount old non-electronic manual focus Nikon lenses (AI, AI-S type) on any...

No.
Nikon, for example, didn't start making lenses that communicated distance information until well after they introduced AF. That's what the "D" in an "AF-D" Nikon lens designation means. There...

I don't much care for it handling wise. I like using my GF1 better. The G3 is a very good bang for the buck though.
I would have been happier with the GX1 I think but a GX1 + EVF is much more...

Someone did this more scientific test of the pancake zoom's performance on different cameras a while back:

Interesting bits:

"An E-P5 and VF-4 in your pocket? Seriously? Let's be realistic. This is not a pocketable camera. It requires a camera bag, just like a DSLR. Taking off the VF-4 doesn't make it pocketable. It's...

Thanks. Wow, good guess. Yeah that's exactly what I used.

I think the very shallow DoF and B&W are working against you here. The background is too bright and is mostly just flat grey nothingness and she is too close to blending in with it.
I also don't...

Very nice. Congrats!
I won one with the 12/2 as well.

That's not right. Stabilization is on when using MF assist on my G3 with 45-200, lens firmware 1.2.
Not sure if that's because you're using it on an Oly body or what. As others have mentioned,...

I like the shot of the Vietnam Veteran's memorial. The reflection definitely adds some emotion to the shot.
I also like the people on the escalator.

I think this shot is definitely better.
I actually have the same lens and the same filter (52mm B&W 10 stop). I have never noticed a brown cast on my photos but it may be a camera specific thing. I...

Thanks.
Yeah she was within like 2 feet of the lens or so.
That's the singer of Angelspit.

Yes, the 20mm is always with me at small concerts along with the 45/1.8. I like the 45/1.8 the best. Here are some of my small concert photos:

That lens has become one of my favorites (some of my own shots with it ). I always have it with me.
In general I think your photos with it are too cluttered, have too much unused space in the frame...

Creating emotion of some sort in the viewer is a big factor in my opinion.

I think these long exposure reflected clouds are getting a bit cliched, but it's the first time I did one that I thought worked:
I also took this yesterday:

You were definitely in the right place at the right time. The weird light and weather conditions make this otherwise brown place really interesting photographically...

I love the way you set up that second last tunnel shot. The leading lines in half the frame work really well.

My subjective comparison: Optically, the 12 definitely looks better to me. Even when not shooting wide open the bigger aperture makes AF work better in low light. You mention you don't need the...
