Great challenge that would have been very difficult to vote one photo over another. The Earth is certainly beautiful and this contest just demonstrates that.
Lots of slot canyon entries for obvious reasons.
Who ya gonna choose?
Why 2001 to 2011? Why not 2001 to 2013?
mike kobal: Nokia realized they made a mistake by choosing the wrong OS and are now trying to make up for it with cheesy and expensive promotions. Yawn. Wake me up when it runs on Android or iOS
Have you actually used a Nokia windows phone? In England, Germany, and France the Nokia windows phone is selling quite well and is increasing market share. My wife has a Samsung Android S III and it is great but I like the clean simple interface of my Nokia Windows 8 phone. iOS is really good of course but dismissing other systems is "fanboy stuff"
Greg Henry: People whine too much.
Reduce the photos to around 6 megapixels. Adjust the levels a bit. Poof - they're better than any other phone camera on the market today.
Their biggest problem? They're taken with a camera that's attached to a Window's phone, and one that's exclusive only to AT&T at that.
Actually have you ever used a Windows 8 phone? I have and I really like the system. TMobile and Nokia phone -I know totally not cool.
Thanks for the info. My bad in that I did not see the slider on the right-hand side of the rules and therefore the 1600 px rule.
Not clear as to why my photo was not accepted. Is it because it is so old?As it is >40 yr old and film I of course do not have the EXIF data. The location was near Nikko, Japan. Thanks,Larry Buck
