Shhh! You're not supposed to show that to people. It clearly shows that the 14-45 isn't any better than the 12-50, and that is not the Conventional Wisdom around here.

As long as the photographer isn't hiding the fact the he is taking pictures, I believe it's perfectly ethical. These people are in a public place. There is no reasonable expectation of...

It's a good shot. Consider a tighter crop. The Prius on the left side kind of sucks the grittiness out of the image.

Speaking of the EP-5, weren't we supposed to have a full announcement by now?

+1. As a daylight lens, it's great. Once the light levels start dropping it's time to switch. I mean, like, as dusk approaches. The 14-150 really struggles in even lowish light.
The other...

Perhaps I was a bit hard on him, but this question gets asked every single week. I think newbies too often get told to "use search", but this is one of those instances where the newcomer really...

That might have been my fault. I think differences between the threaded/flat views of this forum frequently lead to unnecessary spats. I use flat views and am therefore pretty lazy about which...

Just that the bokeh is really ugly, Bob. There is no other point. The op wanted to know if other people thought it looked bad, so I answered his question. Are we supposed to not comment on the...

Hmmm, fair point. I couldn't give two fig leafs about the wooden grip, but the option of a larger grip would be nice.

Fair enough, but the sample provided by the OP contains aggressively ugly bokeh. It actually detracts from the picture.

I would note that the 75mm is outstanding for distant landscapes. It's sharp edge-to-edge and distant objects still have great micro-contrast and dimensionality. So many lenses seem to flatten...
-
That is some nasty looking bokeh.
-
How do we know the screw isn't on the side? I don't believe we've seen pictures of that side of the camera yet.
-
The 75mm is brilliant but it is a truly weird focal length. I rented it recently and the sharpness blew me away. Definitely a specialty lens and priced accordingly. I suspect the 45mm will be a...

Those are well-composed shots that seem to capture the spirit of your dog. They're better than the majority of pet photos posted here. Your processing has produced some visible haloing. Some may...

Yeah, these kind of concerns are the story of my photographic life. As to this shot, I don't think the pole was worth photographing at all, at least not in conjunction with the train. The train...
-
The train shot just isn't a very good picture. The train might be a nice subject, but this angle is not compelling and the crossing pole is hugely distracting. This is why being selective about...

Corners still look mushy.
