GlobalGuyUSA, 10.000 waffers per month, not 10.000 sensors, considering they produced 50.000 waffers/month, the increase is of 20%, not bad at all!
I only drink also on two occasions...
When it rains... and when it doesn't rain :)
Thanks for the review. Did you find any issues on the camera with left AF point performance, camera lockups or out of focus VF, as widely reported on the net? If so did you talk about it with Nikon and got a feedback about it?
It is indeed Fernando Pessoa, you can find more here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fernando_Pessoa
The statue is located in Chiado (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chiado), a very nice place in Lisbon, Fernando Pessoa was a regular customer at the café A Brasileira (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Brasileira), open since 1905.
Worth visiting if you're in Lisbon.
Excellent article, the best I read here so far!
zoomring: So the people who contribute articles will receieve a portion of the advertising dollars you collect from Amazon and all the different marketing banners you collect money from?
Why would anyone write an article here and drive traffic to your site and increase your profits without getting anything in return?
To contribute to a community or to users visiting this website by sharing knowledge that can be helpful to someone else. If this doesn't make sense to you then you don't neet to contribute, but then again, maybe dpreview can close also the forums, and maybe wikipedia can also be shut down, after all for sure someone is also making money with it...
ChipTz: Totally agree with having shorter reviews like this. Despite most of the users coming to this site usually have some knowledge and are looking for advanced cameras, I don't see a reason why not to have light reviews for less tech users that just want a few more information to help decide which camera to get (after all we're all consumers and looking for information in order to make the best possible acquisition of our next camera).
If that doesn't deviate dpreview from their major audience, I can't see what could be bad about having those reviews, it will help consumers in other levels of demand with usefull information, it will help dpreview having more audience and ultimately it will help bring to dpreview more resources to further be able to review high tech products.
Perhaps the expert users can also take some of their time and use their knowledge in forums and help less experienced users to buy a good compact camera, without just saying that if it is not a DSLR it won't be good.
For some users maybe a DSLR xpto model is just not be best camera, as it will depend on what user expects to do with it.
