Both you and Thein are entitled to your viewpoints. There are many considerations and complexities to the points mentioned and they are all know by the various photographic engineers. Some of them don't appeal to the masses. When offering to many options, complaints come in about complicated menu systems, i.e. Olympus. Nice blog though.

You can hardly call these high octane samples, quite frankly I'm disappointed and was expecting more, these are quite average in every regard.

oahn: This just proves it once again... The difference between artists and the rest.

From those who are filled with ego and think they are the best... to those who can shoot only one particular way and therefore, are only the best at that one style, to those who hide behind piles of expensive gear as if that would get them into the club, to those who simply shouldn't be calling themselves photographers just because they own a camera.

Here you have old school ingenuity and the kind of masterful results that come of it.

Bravo Alexey, thank you for sharing this!

Well written, I totally agree, yes +1 Bravo Alexey.

In reply to:

gachsan: Greetings all. I'm a Canon 7D user for quite sometime and happy about its performance overall. I have 17-55 f/2.8, 70-200 f/2.8, 10-22 and 50 f/1.4 lenses. I also bought a Fuji X10 as my pocket cam and have been impressed with its EXR and lowlight capability. Tempted to get the X-E1 (available next month in Jakarta) but yesterday I attended a Canon wshop and tried the pre-production EOS-M (available also next month with the price about the same with X-E1, maybe even a bit cheaper) and fell also for it since I can use all my lenses and it can act as my wide lens camera whenever I have my tele attached to my 7D. Now, should I go for X-E1 and invest more in X lenses or just go on get the EOS-M. Gosh, that X-E1 retro looks is really gorgeous!

Early reports say forget about the EOS-M.

singveld: canon 24-70 without IS and nikon which goes from 12 to 36 while canon still lumbering at around 21. I am selling all my canon camera and lens and move on to nikon. canon is a sinking ship. We all know why, their semiconductor lithography tool unable to catch up with competition, their pride prevent them from buying competitor tool, so i think canon domination going to end.

Thats exactly what I was thinking too. I think there must be something big coming from Canon.
