pen araneae: My pic of a rare spider was DQed. I am very surprised. Spider is an anthropod and anthropods belong to the animal kingdom. The challenge does not say anthropods are not allowed. The spider was found in the wild. So why was it DQed?
I commend your honesty too. Im sure you would have a place for that photo in one of the upcoming challenges:)

Buzz Lightyear: I am also confused, Ruth. "Not in flight" is clear enough, but if the bird is hidden -- by definition it is not visible (camouflaged is similar in meaning). How do you take a picture of an invisible bird . . . unless maybe you take a picture of a bird that cannot be seen in the picture and claim it is "hidden"?
The pictures I am hoping to see are like pics of birds hidden among the trees or some other foliage. I don't think not in flight is clear enough. If I just stated not in flight, there may be pictures of water birds walking around etc.

Thank you to all those who participated and voted, making this challenge a success. To all those who felt this challenge allowed too many entries, I would be holding a similar contest with strictly 50 entries only. So do participate then!

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I meant windy.
HGFGKM: Are photos from aquaria allowed in this challenge?
This challenge is dedicated to marine wild life. Aquarium shots are not allowed.
Truly a great shot.
Wow! Its been a long time since any of these lenses interest me. On the spec sheet it looks great. Hopefully it can really deliver.
herbymel: 30 entries? I blinked and it was full. Next time you do a challenge let a few more people enter.
I need to regulate the submissions if not people in the wrong time zone wont stand a chance.
Thanks to all those who participated and voted making this challenge a success.
Congrats on rising up 2nd amongs so many entries! Definitely one of my favorite.
Congrats on winning! Definitely a great shot.
jvbumactao: I am not familiar with the species of bird, can it be left blank? thanks
I suggest you could try to describe the bird in the description or state what it was doing etc.

ColoradoExplorer: How often do these challenges occur? I would love to place a pic in here sometime.
There are new challenges everyday
Really good shot.
To make things clearer to all entrants, the subject in the photo must be doing something which shows he/she thinks no one is watching.
Mike Ronesia: Is a cow or other farm animal wild life? They are not pets, but they are domesticated so note really wild.
Sorry but farm cows are not allowed here. The aim of the challenge is to really capture photos of wild animals in their natural habitat.
KingdomSeeker60: Are stuffed animals allowed or do they have to be still alive?
They have to be alive.
