Thanks for this further advice from contributors above. I am going out today with my E30 and OMD-EM5 sharing the 12-60 and I will experiment for myself afresh concentrating in the f4-8 range. My...

Thank you all for this useful advice. I shall be using wider apertures in future with my 4/3 kit.
Cheers Chembro

Thanks for those comments. I would still welcome a view on landscape apertures especially with the 12-60 on 4/3.

After four Oly 4/3 cameras (still have them, the best being my E30) I have graduated into m4/3s with an OMD-EM5. While I'm enjoying the move I'm not planning to sell the E500,410,510,30 yet, nor...

Here's another 360/180 shot in Western Australia

360cities is a good site for panos.

Perhaps you should try 360 degree circular panos. They are very easy, best done in portrait mode to give you some depth. Just be careful of parallax - not a problem if you exclude really close-uo...

Thanks for your nice comments which I was slow to pick up. Yes it is wild garlic. It's slow this year, a long winter, - in leaf at present but not in flower. The pano mentioned above was with the...

I was on the top floor of the circular car park by John Lewis and the bus station. Why did you want to know?

Apologies Stagedoor, this response was meant for you but somehow I misplaced it in the list.

I agree it was too many but it was fun for me too, so I indulged myself a little.

Thanks for your interesting comments, and I'm glad the image brought back some memories for you to share with us. I should have labelled this image but I was short of time and struggling with the...

Thank you for this. I have never been inside the Theatre Royal in my 5 years in Newcastle. The FE is very good for this type of shot where you want both depth and height in the image. I personally...

Nicely done. It has all joined up very well including azimuth and nadir. Perhaps the subject could have been more suitable (for my taste)- a bit too much sky and not enough of the interesting stuff...

We had a day with some sunshine at last on Tuesday so I took my EM5 into the city for a wander around. Though fine, it was very windy, and difficult to hold the camera steady. IBIS did a good job....

Why 1/1000 sec? Are those jumping beans? And why so little DOF? Sorry but this does not cook it for me. Cheers Chembro
-
Super. And the big DOF really pays off here. What a great location. I must try your method but the rotation screen on my E30 (with the Oly 8mm FE) will make it easier to set the scene.

An excellent set of photos, as we have come to expect from you Roel, and the B/W treatment is effective, especially for a Paris street offering - but, as others above have mentioned, for an AV...

Excellent series. Wonderful use of the camera's ISO range capability and your lenses. I assume these were all hand held. If so steady hand. Well captured and a good variety of shots from the...

I am enjoying this continuing thread. Thank you contributors. It set me thinking, and today the iconic image came back to me. This photo is not high quality and it was not even taken with an Oly...
