On Fujifilm firmware attempts to fix X10 white discs article (264 comments in total)
In reply to:

Ol Iver S: well written, the new firmware "attempts" to fix it... ;) it´s a shame that this wonderful piece of technique has such a serious design flaw! maybe i´ll keep it even though, it is capable of taking wonderful pictures and really nice to use. time will tell!

p.s.: no difference before & after worth mentioning over here, at least concerning wds.

X10 is great cam, and this firmware make it even better. I hope that DP review will based on X10 positive aspects in review, because there is no perfect cam or lens for all conditions of shooting. This CAM is great, and many manufacturers must make better cam for us after X10 if they like to success in this category of cams. sry for bad english....

codycobb: Just came across these photos shot with the X-Pro1 on Flickr:

They aren't full resolution, so it's hard to tell how this thing handles detail but I thought I'd pass it along. Excited to see the full review for this thing.

micahmedia: "The G1 X's front element is too large for an automatic lens cover as found on the G12, so instead the camera comes with this chunky clip-on cap."

Shame on you for talking negatively about this, DPR! This is a feature, not a bug! The number two point of mechanical failure on P&S cameras is the crappy leaf type lens covers. This points out something I've never noticed about your reviews: you never critique reliability in a consistent way.

Number one point of failure on designs like this G1X camera: motorized zoom (expands/collapses with power on/off). It took some digging and looking at your pics to figure out that this is indeed a motorized zoom lens here. Essential this is a large sensor disposable camera.

boring camera, canon must use faster lens, and better zoom range if there is fixed zoom lens.

Fuji X1 Pro is GO for me ...

rccasgar: I thought I was sure about my next camera (Panasonic GF3X kit, 14-42 powerzoom lens), but this new X10 is really making me doubt.

I'm looking for an small/pocketable camera with the best possible quality. Size is important for me, but I don't need to stick to Canon S100 size.

I started looking to the advance compact cameras group (G12/LX5/XZ1), but when I saw X 14-42 powerzoom from Panasonic, I thought that was what I was waiting for: big sensor (m4/3) in some kind of pocketable size (without being restricted to a pancake)...

But this X10 is really making me think about coming back to my original choice: advanced compact camera.

Willing to see the full review.

take look at this ISO gallery of Fuji X10

what you think about this shoots, rate it if is usable for you ...
