Is it just me or do these pictures have two things in common?

1. bad light
2. bad composition

And sometimes bad white balance. :(

I think we (hobby photographers) are in need of something like a Canon EF 400mm f/5.6 L for $1200, much more then a $2700 zoom lens. :(

Why can't Pentax sell this lens for $150? Both Nikon and Canon has 50mm 1.8 lenses for around $100-$150...
