Mssimo: Does anyone else hate the guts of the cnet reviewer called Lori Grunin? She just trashed the hell out of this camera on her video review. Let me get some feedback on what you guys think. reviews.cnet.com/digital-cameras/
Cant wait for the dp review to come out!
Furthermore, Grunin happens to be absolutely right in her review. The jpegs on this site show that Olympus has decided to turn the default noise reduction and sharpness way up, perhaps in an attempt to cover up the high shadow noise of the sensor, making the photos look like those from early Canon cameras. They started down this road with the E-PL1. Grunin is right to say that this "fried" look doesn't belong in a camera of this price and seriousness. Fortunately, it sounds like both NR and sharpness can be turned down. I love the image quality I get from the E-P1, and while I was excited about the performance improvements of the new camera, I'm going to reserve judgement until I can see whether the photos can equal the earlier iterations.
