My wife and I were treated to some fantastic breaching displays while we were in Maui.  These three images are all of this year's calves practicing their breaching technique - I'd say they all did...

Placed 5^th in the challenge. This is one of several breaches this group of three whales did in a 10 minute span. I believe this is either the mother whale showing her calf how to do a proper breach or a sub-adult (perhaps last year's calf) showing off. This is the most spectacular of the ones I captured that day. Mahalo to the whales for the show!
