Canon is simply being cautious. The last thing they need is the bad press they would get if the GPS or wifi somehow negatively impacted the quality of the images (RF noise) or simply didn't work....

I'd love to see a 3 series in the $4300 - $3900 range. Aka, a 5D mkII with a solid cross pollination from the 1Dx. I would absolutely love the 1Dx, but the price places it outsize of my comfort zone.

I respectfully disagree. A forensic photographer would be more interested in more detail vs. more pixels. Sure, we would all like more pixels, but not if there isn't a clear advantage.
