bluemoonman: In a challenge full of wonderful entries this was my favorite by a whisker,A beautiful capture which makes we want to go & see Stourhead.
Thank you,Bluemoonman. It is definitely a place worth visiting: http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/stourhead/?p=1356326586849
I absolutely agree with Ruth. A stunning image fitting perfectly to the challenge. Congratulations for a well-deserved win. Kivi
RuthC: Kivi, you have managed once again to achieve one of the top spots in this challenge. Stourhead is such a beautiful place, and you have chosen your subject well, to drive the potential puzzlers crazy with so many shades and textures of green! Congratulations! Ruth :-)
Thank you once again for you kind words, Ruth :)
Where are the gravestones?
RuthC: This picture tells a story with great impact. Congratulations on your well-deserved win!
I agree with Ruth. Really great image telling a story.
RuthC: This is beautiful, Kivi, and I think you would have scored higher if the sandbaggers hadn't been giving out .5's and 1's to many of the excellent entries. Not happy with them! Ruth :-)
Thank you once again, Ruth. That's unfortunately a problem in many challenges, but difficult (if not impossible) to prevent. Kivi
PS. I wish I would have saved my "A Perfect Pair" image to this challenge instead putting it into 'Dainty Damselflies' :)
The Mick: Such a fine example! I believe this has to be my favorite of the competition. Best of luck!Regards,Mick
Thank you, Mick
RuthC: This is a really beautiful, thought-provoking picture, with fantastic colour gradations! Wonderful depth and promise for the new day. I love it! Ruth
Taken at 3am on a mid-summer morning in Finland. Worth getting up early :)
Jen003: Congratulations on a beautiful piece of artwork.
Thank you, Jen
Thank yoo, Ruth and Mick. This challenge got a huge amount really high quality images - as usual in Ruth's challenges - and I am really happy to have one of mine in the top 5.

Now the site works again.
Charles Baxter: Can't upload images
The whole site was expereing the same problem on Saturday 9th February
jefcar: The "Roman Bridge" over the River Goyt between New Mills and Marple Bridge is actually 17th century.
Thank you for the correction, Jefcar. Obviously I should have done some research about the history of the bridge before writing anything. However, old and unbelievably slim structure, although much younger than I thought.
Well deserved win. Absolutely wonderful concept and amazing shot. The one who gave this rating 1.0 should not be voting in these challenges...
yndesai: Holes in links could have been exploited better. Just a thought.
Thank you for your constructive comment. Your are absolutely right. Also the focusing plane could have been lin a better position.
slehner: Funny story, I posted a near exact shot but with about an inch of snow covering to the shaped by water challenge. GL.
We were there luckily in the summer. I would not like to drive some of the roads if they are icy...
sadwitch: Wow my first ever win! Thank you for hosting and all who have voted!
Congratulations. Well deserved. It is a great portrait. Probably not your last win :)
It's absolutely amazing place. If you ever visit at Grand Canyon areas, you should include this into your schedule.
ConanFuji: Wow, Kivi, you're on a rolll!
Quite a day, two wins. Never happened to me before. Thanks for all voters :)
tarakanchik: awesome shot.
Great shot. I am sure that the screen does not make full justice to it and would love to see the 40x60" print.
