Yeah, it's called a lease. And with a lease, you can dump the car, sublease the car or buy it out. Not so with Adobe. You can pay or not. If you say not, then all your files have to be processed...

That's an arrogantly obtuse response. The "amateurs" would like to use the suite too ... but at 50 bucks a month you gotta be kidding. And 20 bucks a month for one lousy app is robbery. Microsoft...

The problem they have is that you can buy a G3 and 14-140 for the price of a bridge cam and it stomps the conventional bridge cam. So they have to go somewhere with the bridge cam market and that...

Pixel density is always an interesting issue. If you go too far, you get a lot of chroma noise and the dreaded "blue channel poison" that makes all shadows look like crap.
But if you don;t go far...

The bar is raising across the board, so yes ... these cameras are getting better all the time. but a 1/2" or smaller sensor will never be really good above 100 ISO ... they will always have some...

Thanks ... I probably had similar thoughts :-)
I just realized that I brain farted when I said you can buy a G5 for under 100 ... it is actually under 500, which is still a great deal for that...

I believe that those older Sony bridge cams were legendary ...

You could easily use a slightly larger case then and add one more body and lens. That would allow 100-300 on G5 or G6 and 14-140 on G5, G6 or even GX1. Add a flash and a monopod and now you are...

I agree with you ... mostly. I would probably carry the HS50 around were I to buy one because it can do a heck of a lot with the one small body.
But I also have a small case that allows me to carry...

I've never liked Sony IQ. But others like them. I suggest you ask people that question on the Sony forums.
Note: I like Panny bodies because they remind me of Nikons, which have truly excellent...

You and I have been agreeing a lot lately, but here I must disagree.
m4/3 is above the IQ level of the D300 generation and almost at the D7000 generation. You can buy a G5 for under 100 bucks and...

I suggest that you stop using spot metering as it is just not working for you. Shoot matrix (multi, pattern) mode instead. Also, with a scene that has no contrast and is not brightly lit, you do...

@VeryKross -- you need to adjust your math ... most of us think of it as 200 bucks for about 4 years ... and now it is going to be 960 for 4 years ... HUGE difference.

A little blind? They think they are Paul Maud'Dib .... but in fact they are just Mr Magoo ...

@VeryJross -- it is not only "really so bad" ... it is worse. You assume green field purchasing, when in reality a huge number of people are on a 1.5 to 3 year upgrade cycle (I am on 3 now as I use...

@markds -- The chaining of the users would be fine if the value prop was any good. I have been using Office 2003 and Office 2007 for a long, long time ... yet I still jumped at Office 2013 because...

@Stu 5 ... That's about 25 bucks a month, which is 2.5 times the cost for me when I upgrade every 18 months. But now I upgrade only every 36 months at most, so I pay about 6 bucks a month for...

I jumped at the new Office 2013 because for 10 bucks a month I get the whole enchilada on 5 computers. Adobe, on the other hand, want 20 bucks for one app and 50 if you want it all. Every ......

Realistically, one would actually compare this combinations instead -- G5 + 14-140.
I have that combo (and several others) and can vouch for it being a lot of camera and more fun than the X-S1....

And then we ponder the corollary ...
It has prime lenses ... they can be used whenever necessary. a trick not available to an X20. That is, of course, the most meaningful superiority of all.
The...
