my pictures are coming out darker than what i see on my monitor when i send them out to snapfish to print. Any recommendations for a monitor calibration?
This is the one Scott Kelby recommended but...
since i started this thread. I will mention I went with the Sirui T-1205x.
Been very happy with it. I've take 30 seconds exposure with moderate wind and got sharp...
looks really sharp with those low light shots.
they allow you take pics in the red light district?
I would be afraid to take out my camera and have someone try to smash it.
I guess it was a pricing error.
Discount no longer shows up.
it looks like a problem with chrome. website seems to behave beter on IE.
this is a great deal but their website keeps crashing.
i can't seem to get thru.
i just bought one during cyber monday deal. Got it for $950. Should be receiving it soon.
There aren't a whole lot of options for a compact zoom besides this. I found the 18-200 LE too big & heavy....
I was trying the 18-200LE at the sony store on my NEX6.
I noticed that there is a very long shutter lag (2-3 seconds) with this lens. I hear the beep and see the green square indicating it got...
I took a few random pics with the 18-200LE and CZ16-70.
i can't really see much of a difference. but of course i did not test it for all focal lengths or aperture.
Just wanted to see if i am...
when people compare/review lens are they looking at the jpeg or the raw file?
because with raw alot really depends on how you process the image... adding sharpness, contrast, etc...

this lens is perfect for my needs. but it appears to be too big/heavy.
why does it matter that the lens does not extend while zooming?
wouldn't a more compact lens be more convenient?
how would you compare the sharpness between this and the kit lens?
I'm still undecided on picking up this lens.

thanks for the review.
i've been debating whether to get this or the Sony 18-200 LE or the 18-105.
This seemed like a better choice because the other 2 were larger/heavier.
The previous reviews say...

how did you get those day shots?
The parade doesn't start till nighttime.

i like the first one the best.
love the composition with the leading lines.
thanks for the suggestions.
tried a bunch of bags at B&H.
I think i will go with the lowepro streamline sling
camera section is big enough for my nex6 + another...
I'm looking for a bag with only a small section to fit my NEX6 + another zoom like the 18-200.
Most of the bags i've seen, 1/2 the section is devoted to the camera. That's too much space for my...
