I claim it and I make my living doing it. At least, I claim that the are only rarely necessary and only if you do certain things or use certain equipment. Not all photographers do.

Which was clearly too slow as the shot is not sharp even with a tripod...!

I own one, but use it so seldom that I sometimes wonder why I do.
It really depends on what you shoot. I once carried one for over a month around India and never used it once.
I've never taken one...

Why not?
I captured this without one:

From personal experience, the 28-300 is tat and best avoided. I've rarely had the misfortune to own something that so deserved to be sold as scrap. I hated it and sold it very quickly.

Do you think Adobe actually know that there are still lots of people in the world with no internet access?
-
I suspect that unit has issues.
Mine has both a perfectly acceptable EVF and no banding.
-
Not necessarily - editorial use is usually exempt so he could use them to say illustrate a story in a newspaper about him.
That aside, no professional photographer worthy of the title would accept...

More realistically they need to accept that their opinions matter not one jot, and if they wish to express their outrage, politicians who make laws are the people to whom they ought to do so.

Of course if you are running Mac, you do not need a RAW converter (does anyone really still use standalone RAW converters?!) because Mac OS reads RAW natively.
Thus something like Aperture will...

Can't say I care much for that EVF. I think my GH3 has little to worry about.

Not really.
Aperture, Lightroom etc will do 90% of what you need either alone or in conjunction with one of the many excellent plug-ins available.
PS is a pixel level editor really and unless you...

Nik Dfine is excellent for noise reduction.
Shooting with cameras and ISO's that barely generate it is better still...!

I have never owned it.
It's popularity is largely a legacy of when it was really the only game in town. That has not been the case for years.
When I set up as a photographer, Apple had just...

Now why would you do that?
Adobe have just demonstrated that they are quite happy to 'privatise' their product and make you subscribe.
Just now they are claiming that they won't do that to LR. 2...

Yes - that looks like a smarter move by the minute from Google. Better for 90% of users than PS will ever be.
-
I agree - LR will be next, no matter what they say right now.

I actually hope they don't. I hope they crash and burn and are only ever heard of in the same breath as Betamax.
