The problem is, is if you are shooting for television you have to stay on a 50 frame rate rendering everything else at the mercy of the aperture, given you can't really play with the ISO to much.

"No aperture control in video mode" am I missing something? This is about the most important thing shooting in video mode!

Oh god this. Virtually all of us spend half our lives sharing lenses at a moments notice to our mates, what a way to miss shots fumbling in passwords as we exchange glass.

I replaced the old version with this and recently finally got round to selling my 24L II, 35L, and 50L; it simply seemed pointless owning them. A very nice lens.
