KoKo the Talking Ape: Why is the new capacitor faster to charge? I thought the charge speed of capacitors is set by the voltage and amperage applied to them.

And LEDs are inherently more efficient than arc lamps like xenon tubes. They certainly run cooler. So aside from their color, they don't have any disadvantages, do they? So why don't they just work in making LED's more color accurate?

Yes. I second that. It would open up access to other more powerful flashes.

AZBlue: How on earth is this vegan with whipped cream on top?

Sorry I wasn't around when this happened, but the good thing is it didn't make it to the top ! Would you like to help join the "policing" force ?

It will make sense if you consider that D800 has a "reputation" of being soft, or takes a great deal of effort to produce a sharp image. And if you do not have the necessary skills or inclination to engage on the D800 process, a less MP FF camera at a cheaper price point makes a lot of sense.. an amateur don't necessarily like the extra baggage in processing storage and time especially if most of those photos will turn up soft ..

No. There are some vegetarians who adhere to a more strict regiment, I believe in India, the followers of Mahavira is an example. Their standard of care, you can say, is "class-leading" with all due respects..

some people do not eat mushrooms because they are raised in the dark, away from sunlight.

On Canon issues allergy warning for EOS 650D/Rebel T4i article (176 comments in total)

I recall having a similar problem on the very first Rebel 300D. I had a sticky hand which I couldn't remember whether it was glue or some food residue, and without thinking of washing my hands, I was holding on to the rubber grip.

The next thing I knew the rubber was melting and coming out of the camera body. I couldn't use it anymore and rather than scrap it off and do a DIY replacement, I gave it away instead..

So apparently certain chemicals do react with the rubbery stuff they put at the grip , better to wash your hands before you pick up the cam !

I have the reliable old trusty CP600 but it's collecting dust now because Cannon never provide printer drivers for windows 7.... so I had to dual boot a laptop to run a partition of windows NT which will connect with the CP600.

When the laptop hit with some hard disk problem, I lost the win NT and have no way to bring the CP600 back to life again..

Would like to support Cannon if they bothered to take care of printer drivers update for older modells but they don't..

Good question.. If shoot in RAW there will likely be more processing done, then in jpeg.. what does the host say ?

Great shot !
Compacts nowadays have the self timer with face detection shutter release... makes for very easy photo taking.
