Hi I enjoyed reading that, and the images are lovely. Thank you for taking the time to create the article. Many of the lessons can be applied to the more ordinary but challenging situations that...

Hi
Here in Hong Kong there are many people carrying mirrorless cameras as well as SLR's. Mostly Panasonic's.
-
Some truly great images there. He certainly has the eye.

Hi
I have both and use the 20mm nearly all the time, but for the occasions when I use the 45mm it is well worth it. Even though I also have the 14-45mm.

Hi
I am going to Israel on Sunday and travelling light. I am taking an Orbis ringflash for situations where I cannot bounce or need fill flash outdoors. Very simple and robust. What do you all...

Hi
That shot through the door is excellent! Best of luck!
-
Hi
I use the 20mm wide open nearly all the time and I have never noticed the vignetting. I will look up the profile in Lightroom now I know it is there though!
Thanks!

Hi There
Many people who do not frequent online photography forums would think those quite good, and expect the harshness of direct on camera flash because it matches their own experience of on...

Hi
I really like a couple of those. That's not to say they aren't all good, but a couple are excellent. The first one has some sort of appeal that I cannot put my finger on. The deer and pink...

Hi
I have had a few digital cameras, mostly Olympus. The OMD is the first one that ticks pretty much all the boxes for me, so I am pretty sure I will be using it for a considerable length of time....

Hi
I agree with the above. Some people have found that that the camera will constantly underexpose in TTL mode. Those people will often set a permanent flash compensation of +1.3 stops so that they...

Hi
Actually if you are at an angle to the glass you will get a good amount of light reflected back. Definitely worth a try. I really like these shots where the ambient light is well balanced...
-
Hi again
By the way, you could have possibly bounced the flash off the building to the left with the flash flagged on the side facing the subject then you would not have the flash head reflection...

Hi There
Actually I quite like that. I also bought the 600r this week and love it. I also have the 36r so can use the 600r as a commander for the 36r which is really useful because the head angles...

Hi
Personally I think that is a good first attempt, and the feedback you have gathered makes interesting reading. I would like to try some street photography. Here in Hong Kong there are some...

Hi, I have read the manual. I had totally forgotten that the flash had its own setup proceedure. I had been using an FL36 for years and traded it for an FL36R, and forgot it was a new flash! Doh!...
-
Oh, and just to clarify, it works to change guide and f numbers when off the camera, but it will not set compensation. I am sure that it used to.
Thanks again
Berni

That is the compensation wheel on the flash itself by the way.
-
Hi There
My FL36R works fine both off and on camera, but the compensation wheel seems to have stopped working. I am not sure if I have somehow turned it off in one of the many menus on the...

Hi There
I have both the 20mm and 14-45. the 20mm lives on my OMD and it makes a nice small package that covers most bases for me personally. The 14-45 is very handy when one needs to be more...
