i find the GR a compelling buy. size alone and the price are good points to start.
-
i totally agree. these companies including Sony is like the the tablet and phone companies for cameras.
-
they do? didn't know that they make their own high end sensors. i thought Canon and Nikon are just using other's sensor and stuff.
-
yeah it would be baffling if canon does that but i dont think its stupid for leica to do it.
-
if Sigma is not making money with foveon cameras, why would they release the merrill ones? does not make sense for a company that can lose a lot.
-
I would agree with Zodiac that the usability of the cameras is clearly a step back especially when comparing to todays standards but i really can argue with the IQ. its phenomenal and with a bit of...

its obvious that there is money to be had with this three layered foveon style sensor and that is why Canon and Sony are pursuing it. that is all. they already have capable cameras with very...

wow you shot a sports scene!
quick question. I do not own the SD1 but i would just like to know if 1/2000 is the highest shutter speed possible with the camera?
-
higher price? clearly the camera is aimed at the budget sports camera enthusiasts. well my two cents.
-
does it matter? that still light if you ask me. weak hands?

i'd probably choose the OMD. there is no point on getting this over the OMD except for the WIFI. of course my two cents nad my personal opinion.

really nice camera. fantastic sensor technology but personally, design wise, i'd go for the EP3, silver. love the wifi addition too. since olympus jpegs are known for their colors and clarity,...

why limit in Asia? even thoug im from Asia i do not understand why they would do that. sTill no new sensor technology,
-
could be good since its a store that is selling it as opposed to some random person.

I noticed this too. there are many dp1 and dp1s being sold in ebay for around $200-$300.
maybe its due to the fact that these tend to have that flex cable issue and of course the slow lens.
-
back to the photo where it really matters! got to love the detailzzzz :)

I agree that the small size of the DP1 cameras is great for hiking trips and the like. though if only the battery life is longer. I have used it several times while i was biking around. needless to...

A bit inspired with the pictures here taken with Sigma cameras. I really miss my simple Dp1s. I have to wait for around 3 more months before it comes back to me from Sigma Japan. The whole shutter...

These photos are simply amazing sir. Its nice to see some Sigma camera photos taken here in the Philippines. Keep on shooting! :) I think i'mma set one of them as my wallpaper, stunning and suits...

off topic :D
sadly sir Zodiacfml, My dp1s "retired" on me. A common issue about the lens getting stuck occurred on it just as i was setting it up on a tripod for some flowing water shots which I...
