Chris Tofalos: "Professional standards made simple..."
Is that so? There's no EVF! I can't see any serious photographer, let alone a professional, keen to use a camera waved at arms length all the time.
Sony have shown the way to go, what their users clearly want, with an incredible super hi-ires EVF in the NEX-7. The NX200 is virtually a complete waste of time without one; a white elephant!
I'm a pro, and I've been eagerly awaiting this camera to use on family portrait sessions on location, so I could travel a bit lighter.
But I need to look like a pro, and there's no way I'd use a camera at arms length! Shame really.
Does the NX200 have a jack socket for an external microphone? The connectivity settings here suggest it doesn't. That's a deal breaker for me!
According to the press release:-'Users can also attach an optional external microphone, such as Nikon’s ME-1 microphone, via the stereo microphone jack'
This is quite important to me, but the 'Connectivity' section above makes no mention of it.
I assume that it's just an omission from the spec above?
This site shows how the images can be re-focussed, I must say I think it's impressive!
