Nice shot, with a great composition. This first place is a proof that the shooter is much more important than expensive gear.
I have been having a lot fun with Lumia 1520's camera.
It works fine as long as you don't need fast focus, long lens and print quality.
I have been using it for landscape with good results. The 20Mp camera provides a good quality and high enough resolution for all kind of digital media, including 4k screens.
Ben O Connor: What about windows 8.1 ?
I have a 1520 since last Xmas, and its an amazing piece of tech. Its really un-seperable piece o my daily life.
Will it be possible to update it to 8.1. ? There is no info on Finnish web page of Nokia yet...
Yes, but WP 8.1 is not released yet.
Right now you can get the WP 8.1 Developer Preview and update your Lumia 1520, But you need a Developer Account for that. Otherwise you have to wait until the release WP 8.1.
Does it mean we can expect to see 4K video in next Sony Alpha too? In case, that would be the real push for 4k video.
The RAW image quality is the most important aspect of such a camera, why is the reviewer keeping such a negative focus on JPEG quality?.
It's probably a photoshop fake, otherwise the logo would read "Hr", LOL.
But the A7r is a much better candidate than NEX7 as a high-price luxury gadget. So this will probably become a reality soon.
WOW, that was a big mess. Why does he call it "dust"? This term is usually associates with dirt coming from outside when you change lens. That mess is some kind of internal particles flowing around inside the camera. Maybe we should call it "mess"?
So cuuuuuuuuuute, and congrats for a well deserved 1. place .
What's the name of this cuuuuuuuuut ducky?
One can always connect the camera to a little laptop for "hard drive backup, control across the Internet or sophisticated interval shooting" and such. Why should one make own grip-top and programming it too?
Invention and creation is good, but why should anybody reinvent the wheel?
