Good job with cuuuuuuuut ducklings :) , Sony 70-400mm  is a doing a great job too, again. But is that  ISO 2000 right out of A77, or a mismatch?

This is good news, it means Sony is innovating new technologies based on A-mount. :) It will be interesting to see if this will allow using Cannon and Nikon lenses, like existing NEX mirrorless. ...

That's a nice shot, technically, with great dynamic range and colors. But you did good job with composition by getting an exiting image out of bunch of stones. :)

Good capture of cute chicks :) When you look at that nest, specifically the location and small door/opening, those chicks are pretty safe there.  They don't need to stay quiet or hide the nest,...

This lens has a pretty slow AF specially under poor lighting, which makes it a bad choice for indoor sport and action shots. But it has a very nice optic with a great resolution and image...

That's a nice shot with a well deserved first place. A99 has a great dynamic range that comes handy  for all kind of landscape shots.  :)

Those files are manipulated by hosting-server and they look really bad. That quality is an insult to this new lens.  Try to upload your pictures to DPR gallery.

In the process of becoming  Supernova, suns tend to expand really huge, and then collapse on themselves with a huge and bright explosion.   The expansion phase looks like something similar.

You should consider a used Sony 70-400mm G1. You can find good price now, because some are selling G1 to jump on G2-hype in these days. You may even find a mint-copy cheaper than new Tamron or Sigma.

Thx, yeah that's a really rare and spacial moment. :) The new lens did a really good job, but it wouldn't  possible without  12-FPS burst, a great articulated screen and fast AF in live views of A77.

That's good news. This means Sony is letting it go earlier, which is great news. :)  This is a typicaal wildlife/birding lens and the season starting now. It would sell much better now. Now get out...

All shots are with A77 + my new Sony 70-400mm G1, handheld, a fat PP using a new PP-software. But these "experimental" shots seams to be ready to go :) I was lucky to shoot these Grebe pare for 3...

Nice shots. I've just got this lens and trying to learn it tricks, but I hear one needs at least 1/1000 Sec to get a handheld sharp shots at 400mm. I see you had some help from leaning on...
