That's some seriously slow-motion

The insane, high-speed video specialists at Vision Research have upped their game yet again, announcing the new Phantom v2010. A new addition to the popular Phantom 1Mpx line, it'll be capable of capturing 22,000fps at full resolution (1280x800). If you don't mind dropping down to 128 x 32, you can get a full million frames per second.

The battle still rages over film vs digital, this time in a series of interesting stop-motion videos

It's easy to find nice things to say about film photography. It offers high-resolution, wide dynamic range, and to some, an indescribable satisfaction that digital can't provide. Conversely, others will take up arms to argue the low-light and efficiency benefits of digital over film. But a filmmaker has now tried to give something more of an apple-to-apples comparison between the two, by shooting the same stop-motion scene, with the same lenses, between digital and film.

Now embedded photos have watermarks and interactive elements built in

Flickr has announced a significant change to the way you can embed images, moving away from the static HTML upload, to a more dynamic, interactive version powered by iframe. And while the more obvious links to your photo sets and copyright information is good to see, some photographers are already chafing at Flickr putting its own watermark on the images.
