if you shot this as a HDR.. bracketing your exposures.. do you think you could have done it without the ND Filters?

Adam Filipowicz: I bet most of the people that are complaining about paying a small fee to use photoshop, dont own a license and have a pirated copy.. becasue if your complaing about $20 then whats the likelyhood you bought it for $1000

there is never a guarantee on pricing.. even if Adobe didnt change to the cloud.. they could charge 2x for CS7

I do see the issue about not being able to work on your files if you havetn paid for over 30 days.. but then again you do have 30 days to resolve internet connectivity or payment issues.

I wish i worked for Adobe
sometimes you need a devils advocate to liven up the conversation :)

Truth is , we dont know if he gave any to charity. and if he did.. he didnt have to be public about it..

Adam Filipowicz: If you were to buy a new license of Master collection CS6 it would be $2600.. the subscription is $49.99 a month for everything.. thats 52 months of subscription to equal one license.. after 52 months you would buy an upgrade.. and if you actually waited 4+ years to upgrade it you would basically ned to buy a new license as the upgrade would atleast $1000 (20 more months of subscription) I dont get why people think this is a rip off.. I like to keep my software current and I upgrade to each version as it comes out.. im saving money..and its more convent managing the licenses in my design department

GaryJP

your analogy doesn't really work, because unlike a home, software has no resale value.. and if homes didnt have any resale value.. I would rent..

Sure I get it.. there are ways in which its more money.. but seriously. if your making money using this software you should be able to cover the monthly fee ($50/mo) with 1 hr of work.. common now..

57even: It just struck me that forcing many low usage users into paying considerably more for a product simply because they are locked in is probably a breach of anti-trust law. Now, anyone know a friendly lawyer?

considering they are not forcing you to upgrade or even use there product and they have free will to change what they charge for there products.. I dont think you have a case

TheEye: Adobe believes their customers should have to pay $800 per year to use Photoshop. Adobe doesn't care that I neither need nor want all the latest doodads. I am also sure that Elements will remain a severely crippled 8 bit version of Photoshop.

Adobe can go and fly a kite in the cloud. There are other options.

if you wanted to upgrade to CS6 how much would that cost you?
stay with CS3 if that works for you and you wont ever need to spend money on software again :D
