Personally, I'd hope not. I'd hope they continue to focus their attention on great primes and if they have to, updates to the current X bodies... but no rush needed there, they've got a great thing...

I still feel like you can't ignore the fact that you're comparing 35mm-film equivalents of 50mm vs 100mm... completely different perspectives and relative DOF. But I'll leave it at that/this, happy...

Comparing a 50mm f/1.4 on 4/3's to 35mm f/1.4 on APSC could be one your problems. Your talking about pretty extreme differences in focal length; 100mm f/2.8 vs 50mm f/2.1 full frame equivalents....

Indeed, the zoom doesn't tempt me either, speed and size are super important to me. Does anyone have any samples? I've been searching flikr and such for the 18mm, and I'm just not quite convinced.

Yeah thought about the 15mm, but I'd probably take the 18mm with AF for that price. Haven't seen any 15mm's for less that $450usd.
