It looks like the CC version will get extra features, likely a way to attract user to become CC users. Not a good omen.

Please clarify this statement: "Monthly subscribers can go for as long as 30 days without connecting to the Internet for license validation. Users with an annual commitment can go for as long as...

Just recording everyday routine, shot for this thread.
D7000+Nikkor 35 f/2, CNX2 conversion+b&w.

I posted above, my D80 had worse WB and colors than the D7000, so I don't know exactly what are you saying when you say the D200 was better in that respect. Can you post a side-by-side comparison...

Both
Both
Both
Nikons do better in low light/Dynamic range
Can't say
No so much, can't say. VF is more important.
None has it
The main points for a beginner are flash use (Nikon is better)...

You can't always get a decent connection everywhere, one needs off-line software. The solution would be for Adobe to provide an off-line option that would run for a certain period w/o need of extra...

They could get many disgruntled PS users and make us CNX users happier with an updated version (even though current version works well on the Macs).

I read a newspaper story, Adobe says it can't keep updates for both CC and current software.

DNG would solve that issue.

Will Adobe update the DNG converter? If so, one can keep using CS6 forever (well, at least while th OS opens it).

I understand your point Sandy, but I also understand the OPer's viewpoint. I'll wait for the D600's successor, I don't like the idea of buying a new piece of equipment that has a good chance of...

Film shooter for 30+ years, hundreds of lab hours (I did b&w mostly), not that many keepers, as you say. Usually the best shot had issues. I love digital, it makes photography a democratic activity.

The Nikkor 70-300 is a very fine lens, I have used it with the D7000.

It's not a settings issue, you may be one of the very few unlucky ones to have gotten a lemon.

Shoot RAW + Jpeg and open RAW in ViewNX that comes with camera. It could be the jpeg engine inside camera only, but it'd still be a deffect and I would return the camera and ask for an exchange.
-
Buit it's not just "a RAW converter" like ACR. You can do local color/contrast adjustments, you can convert to b&w, you can do curves in various modes, etc. ViewNX is a raw converter.
But it's true...

Use the Nikkor 50mm and shoot in Fx and Dx modes and compare the same areas in both images, as well as with the D300s'. If you have already done that, please state it clearly, I only see D800's DX...
